Day5: Teaching Monday
Day 5 after my 6th chemotherapy. I was not sure if I could commute with public transportation today as I felt so sick yesterday. My legs have tingling sensation and are very weak. My parents drove me to the closest station, which only takes 2 minutes ride. A train to the NYC, and taxi to my office. The same routine on the way back, too. I minimized my walking distance so to make sure that I will have enough energy until tomorrow's teaching.

Day 20 after 5th chemotherapy. I started to drink a lot of liquid. Tomorrow is my 6th chemotherapy, that is going to be my last one. I have a mixed feeling of partially looking forward to it as knowing that this is the last one, but partially thinking that I will have to do all over this cycle again as usual, which is not a pleasant experience at all.

I gave a midterm to my Tuesday class today. One student stayed after the class to talk to me. She disclosed to me that she had gone through chemo treatments for two years when she was younger. She shared me some of activities or things that she tried. One thing was clear to me that I should be open to anything to try. I am thankful that she shared her experience with me. I am not the only one. She is brave, thoughtful and bright lady now. Thank you.

I am sure I had a great energy for teaching today. Our discussions were interesting and I could tell that we had a good lecture today. I say it is "we," even if I am the one who is "lecturing." When a lass has great interaction between me and my students, it creates a higher level of discussions and understanding of the material. I am a leader/navigator in the class. A great day.

I took my son to go out for a newly released movie, The Boxtrolls, in a theater today. I love somewhat nostalgic movements of stop-motion animations so much. This movie became my favorite movie. The boxtrolls are adorable. We were laughing in the theater, such a fun day for two of us! (image credit: the official website)

Just for fun, today's styling is a theme of Japan, I really wanted to make a styling with my new Tabi-boots. The Japanese kimono overcoat, I believe it used to belong to my grandmother.
