Pregnancy after Chemotherapy 抗がん剤治療後の妊娠について
(My hair has been growing into bushes. It's been 10 months since my last chemotherapy. I used to have very long silky straight hair, but now look how curly it is. I have no idea how to deal with this. It is always going so bushy. I don't feel this represents me and I cannot wait to have it grow much longer.) It depends on the types of breast cancer, but especially when one's cancer grows with hormone such as progesterone positive and estrogen positive breast cancer, getting pregnant raises some concerns. Chemotherapy let alone is a concern for damaging ovaries, there are other things to worry about, too. If a cancer patient is considering having babies after treatments, she should talk to doctors right upfront. This information is only based on my experience, please consult your physician when it comes to details and whether it can be applied to your case. Many cases, insurance companies may not cover this and it can be costly.

My last injection treatment is over! 最後の点滴治療終了!
I long waited for this day to come: my last injection treatment for my breast cancer is all done today! No more "chemo unit" visit every three weeks. I did it! (I did the chemotherapy from August to November, 2014. I had been on "targeted therapy" since then. The targeted therapy, the side effects are very minor. What I finish today is the targeted therapy.)

As my natural hair is black, I noticed that it would be more difficult to wear light color wigs later without showing my real hair underneath. Especially some sideburns will show. I should enjoy now as much as possible.

cancer treatment in progress 分子標的治療中
I am in another targeted therapy treatment now. A tip of the IV went in smooth. I was not drinking liquid as much as I should yesterday. I started to drink a lot since this morning for now (3:15pm.) I was a little worried about the insertion, but all is good. My nurse was talking to me all the time. That distracted me in a good way. more and more familiar faces off staffs at the chemo units section at this hospital. "Hey! How have you been?" With super big smiles.

In a 3 hours lecture, I walk around classroom, visiting students here and there. I give students worksheet, sometimes an individual work, or a group work. I catch some troubled students early to set their understanding straight before they get really in trouble at the end.

10th Targeted Therapy Day 10回目分子標的治療の日
All went well my 10th targeted therapy (for HER2 treatments of Herceptin and Parjeta) today. Since yesterday, I was drinking a lot of liquid to prepare for a smooth IV insertion. It went very smooth. I learned from the 6 times chemotherapy, a nurse needed to find a new vein each time to give extra break to the previously used vein. Because of the strong chemistry in the medicines, it can burn out the veins. I can only use my right arm, that added extra limitation. From my left arm, some lymph nodes have been removed and I cannot use that side for vital nor treatments.
