Each time I wrap into a turban style, it comes out slightly different, even when I try to do an identical style. Well, enjoy that! Today, I looked myself in a mirror and felt like I was in Aladdin, or in a story One Thousand and One Nights.
My old friend left me a comment on my Facebook this morning saying that “the way you transform a piece of cloth into a turban and put a men’s sweater in fashion is nothing but magic.” I was reading that comment on my way to teaching with the Arabian turban style. I could not help but smile thinking that I was coming out from an old oil lamp as a magician with the turban. I only discovered that all of my imaginations were mixed up in my head. I felt I took some parts of different characters for the today’s style. A turban from the prince, magic from the oil lamp, and I am a female character of the story.

My son has a week off from school. After my teaching, I joined my son at Museum of Mathematics in New York City. One of the exhibitions uses concepts of geometry gave me additional magic to my image today. I truly felt I was from the story.
ターバンスタイルをすると、前と同じようにしようと思っても、いつも少し違った格好に仕上がる。そんなことも、楽しんじゃおう。帯を結ぶのと同じように。今日は、鏡で見ておいて、自分で、アラジンやアラビアンナイトに出てきそうなキャラクターだなと思った朝。
フェイスブックに古くからの友達が新しくコメントを残してくれた。「ちょっとした魔法使いのように ただの布だって素敵なターバンにして アメリカンの男の物セーターだってそんな風にかわいく着こなして。いやいや、これはマジック以外の何物でもないって気がしてくる。」 朝から アラビアンナイトな気分で電車に乗っていた私に飛び込んできたメッセージ。もう私の頭の中の イマジネーションは、魔法のランプから出てくるターバンをかぶった私。
ブログを書くのに、イメージを確認したら、もうずれずれ。物語中では、ターバンをかぶっているのは、そもそも王子様。王子様は、もちろん魔法のランプから出てこないし（さすがにこれは わかっていたけど。ランプの精がターバンを付けているかは覚えがなかった）。そして私は、自分は女性キャラでイメージしている。全部ごちゃまぜにしたら 今日の 魔法のランプから出てくるターバンをかぶった私の出来上がり。
息子の学校が一週間お休み。仕事の後に、マンハッタンにある算数・数学ミュージアムに出かける。一つの展示が、幾何学を応用したイメージをプログラムしてあって、そこに自分の映像を映し出してみたら、手を広げると、私の手から いっぱい花が咲く咲く。もう 間違いなく、魔法のランプから出てくるターバンをかぶった私はたくさんの花を咲かせてみせた、そんな一日。
