Teaching Tuesday 火曜日授業の日

I was successfully carrying an appropriate attitude to go with this outfit and short hair that I probably did not choose to do with long hair; feeling strong, bold and confident. The outfit, hair style, and the attitude, all well coordinated today. I would call my hair as a STYLE, rather than being forced to be the short hair due to the chemotherapy. (Yes, to be honest, I still often look at myself in shopping windows with my short hair, I can come across mixed feeling about it.) Finally, I started to feel that I did this style with my choice.

I took my son to Kinky Boots broadway show during his spring break, while I had a friend visiting us from Japan. I love drag queens, how they express themselves powerfully. On the Easter Parade, there were some drag queens, too. They fascinate me so much. They present themselves so bold and confident. I really like that. Oh, not to mention, they put and change wigs and put their outfit well from head to toe! So, today, when I was out with this outfit, I try to carry the drag queen confident attitude. Thanks to them! My teaching went very well.

今日は、（昔の私だったらしない雰囲気の）この装いにして、着こなしてみることができたような気がする。強くて、自信が溢れるような雰囲気で。全体の雰囲気がまとまった。あえて、髪型と呼ぼうと 思えるぐらいの長さになってきた髪の毛。抗がん剤で 無理やり髪の毛が抜け落ちた後 とは言いたくないし、言わせたくない。本当は、こうしていても、道でふと ショーウィンドーでこの髪型の自分を見ると 複雑な思いが起きるんだけど。あえて、それを封印させるように、他人から見えるであろうイメージの自分を 心がけて演出して街を歩く。

この春休みには、日本からお友達が来ていたのもあって、息子を連れて キンキーブーツのブロードウェイミュージカルを見に行く。わぉ。好きだわ、ドラッグクイィーン。ドラッグクィーンが パワー炸裂で、思いっきりファッションで自分をアピールしているのを見ていると こちらも気持ちがよくなってくる。「どうだ～！」と。イースターの帽子パレードでも、ドラッグクイィーンたちがいて、もうファッションをまとう態度に圧巻。（まさしく、ウィッグから つま先まで トータルでコーディネート。ウィッグも どんどん変えちゃう！）そんなドラッグクイィーンにパワーをもらって、今日の自分を 力強く そして 自信たっぷりに演出。自分の心を奮い立たせる。そんな風に、おもいっきり堂々と授業をする日があっても良い。
