Day3: after 6th chemo

Day 3 after my 6th chemotherapy. I felt nauseous and needed to stay in bed. My son has been practicing for a middle school's musical, he participates as a member of chorus group. His three shows were on this weekend. He asked me to come because he really wanted me to see it (or him). I had to think about it. I was not sure how I would be. Finally, I decided to come to see it.

Day20: Teaching Tuesday

Day 20 after 5th chemotherapy. I started to drink a lot of liquid. Tomorrow is my 6th chemotherapy, that is going to be my last one. I have a mixed feeling of partially looking forward to it as knowing that this is the last one, but partially thinking that I will have to do all over this cycle again as usual, which is not a pleasant experience at all.

Day7: After 5th Chemo

A Japanese friend sent me a set of three pairs of socks when she learned my breast cancer. The three pairs are different in material; silk, cotton and wool. I am supposed to wear them at once in the order of: silk to be direct on food, cotton and then wool to be the last.

Day5: After my 5th chemo

People who takes care of me very closely tells me that I am doing better for this cycle. I look better, talk clearer, eat better and am out of bed for longer hours than my previous cycles. That is right. But I still feel nauseous and sick that I really wish there were a day that I would feel great. I'd love to have a break, only a day would do me great.

Day14: Choices I did not choose

The picture of our homemade ghost when my son was in pre-school. The head is made with super-market plastic bag filled with newspaper. 自分の家で息子がまだ幼稚園の時に一緒に作ったゴーストのハロウィンの飾り物。それ以来毎年飾っている。頭は スーパーの袋に新聞紙が丸めて入っている。 I had choices to make my IV injection easier: a port or Picc Line.

Day9: After 4th Chemo, "Better Than Yesterday"

Last three days, I have been resting well in bed or a couch day after day. I was watching movies and catching up with TV dramas. Everyday is "better than yesterday." A friend visited me on Day 8 (Thursday) for a short time. I had not seen her for years and I was so happy to catch up with her. I wanted to update this just for a record.
