Day 9: A Healing Session

My friends visited me tonight all the way with a long drive (thank you!). They came to give me a healing session with their spiritual approach. It is their second time giving me their session, once I had after my surgery.

I don’t know how they call the things they did on me. We put light dim and appropriate music to help my environment. I was lying down in a couch with my eyes closed. Something I felt was that it was really relaxing and I was in deep breathing. At one point, I felt I was up in the air, very warm and comfortable. I felt I was extended myself so wide. I did not want to get up right away. It was so soothing.

I am in academic and do researches in scientific approaches. I did not have much occasions to come across spiritual approaches. I may even avoid them, thinking, “is it scientifically proven that works?”. I did not even bother to check it. Well, in fact, I did not need them. I was fine and busy. But once I knew I had breast cancer, I did not have reasons to put any boundaries to cure this. Anything that might work, I should give a try. And if I try, I should really open myself to it.

I intuitively think believing should help people in good ways. I am happy I am open to the spiritual world today. It is not a point to say that I will perform on someone on day yet. But I believe it does good to me.

Breast cancer put me through rough days. It imposes intensive mental stress on me from time to time. I need to learn how to relax and hopefully I can manage the mental stress by meditation-like exercises. If that helps, that is a good skill to have it in my life. Each time, it is a new experience. I would like to know and feel more about it today. Thank you for the session, my friends!

[physically] some fatigue. I took a anti-nausea medicine in the late afternoon and an anti-anxiety/nausea pill before going to bed. I can taste better than before and my appetite is gradually coming back with it. I had the dinner as in the picture. I don’t get hungry though. Red spots in my head.

[mentally] With the help of meditation, I felt so relaxed by the end of the session. It felt so good. I did not want to open my eyes.
