It has been very very cold in New York area, days of single digit temperature with strong wind. Putting a wig itself is not a comfortable thing, but adding an extra knit cap to bundle me up makes wig tighten up with extra pressure. When I take off the cap also makes wig look messy, too.

I did not realize how hair keeps my head so warm. After all those years with long hair I had, I feel cold in head this winter with newly growing very short hair. This wrapping style became my favorite for this season. It is warm, gives fullness and playful asymmetry design. I also like this pin (find it, it is at my forehead) I put in the front on the wrap, too. A part of it hangs down from the turban and it sways. It adds a little charm to the style. Because of the volume, my style does not speak out that I face hairless with cancer.

A Japanese friend sent me a set of three pairs of socks when she learned my breast cancer. The three pairs are different in material; silk, cotton and wool. I am supposed to wear them at once in the order of: silk to be direct on food, cotton and then wool to be the last.
